I didn't read through all of this thread but they did specify the new pets and you could capture them in the FPE. In case there is any question they are...

Crane
Crabs (2 kinds blue and green)
Moas (2 kinds black and white)
Tigers (Bengal and White)

and 2 or 3 other types not shown or mentioned... and for sure some or one with ranged attacks via Gaile's transcript.

A drake would be cool, a crocodile, maybe a monkey, the bull would be cool also, and maybe the devourer.

After all this pets things i so want a game like pokémon now! :P

But seriously they should add more species of animals and put them around in the wild, and then you could go and just get the one you want. Plus you should make some animals neutral (they are red but dont attack you) and you could make them your own if they are like that.
This way there would be many cool looking animals around the world of wich you could catch some!

I would really love to go throught the jade sea and see a group of turtles and then catch myself one!

EDIT - Just thought of a cool thing. A monster attacks you with his pet, and you as a ranger use charm animal and steal his pet to put it against him! Wouldnt that be cool?

Until you're in the middle of PvP and someone on the enemy team steals the pet you've been training and slaving over forever.

One of the coolest pets I could think of would be a Yeti (aka Abomnible Snowman) It would have to be put in a very hard place to get to, and it would have to be very rare that it is spawned, but could you just imagin!!
